Tabor College is centered in the middle of Hillsboro, Kansas, we are truly surrounded by the community. And because of that, we have an amazing opportunity to become one with the community. Different ways that we're able to do that is every church in the community does a Tabor Sunday. So we get to go and preview every single church.
We run into the same people a lot and so no matter who you're seeing that's on the sports team or in the cafeteria in a class, everyone's going to be friendly and welcoming, no matter how well you know them.
The connection with alumni is so special because they like come back and are so excited to see where the campuses now and to see like how they've grown. You have a close group of friends, but then campus in a way is like your entire close group of friends because everybody's just so friendly.
And we have a ton of clubs and activities that go on campus all the time. I personally have gotten involved in things that I never did in high school, never thought I would be interested in -- but it just felt like this was a safe place to try new things.
I really feel like when we're all sitting together and worshiping together and listening to the same message -- I really think it provides the room for certain conversations to be had. And you really grow on a deeper level with each other because you're all experiencing the same thing.
