Communications

My faith is intertwined within communication because I can not only apply what I'm learning within the communication program to a professional world, but I don't see my career in the future as just a career I see as a mission field. And our professors really integrate that into our learning that our future careers are not just for professional use on your resume, but they're to be a mission field.

Um, students that come in here, they're going to be taught or trained in a way to involve Christ in the way that they communicate. And that means people that you know, and people that you've never met before, so that that works really well in the journalism world.

Communications appealed to me because of the flexibility. I came into school not really knowing what I wanted to do, but I knew what I liked, but I didn't know how to get that within one major -- one area. So I did combine communications and graphic design.

I'm double majoring in not only communication but marketing as well. I'm not only learning about writing in the Communication Department, but also social media management, public relations, consumer behavior, and so forth. Within the communication field, I've not only learned how to improve my skills in a professional way but also how to let that overlap into interpersonal relationships.
