Music education is about preparation of students to go into the public schools or private schools. The amazing thing about Tabor is this facility that we have.

Most of my classes were within 20 students, maybe 30 students maximum, very small, very manageable, and it still felt very personal with the professors at that time. A lot of the professors here do have connections within the professional industries, especially in music and theater. Knowing them and being friends with them really helps you get a foot in the door later in the industry.

The prep school is an opportunity for the students who are going into teaching or going into private lessons to teach younger students of the community. And it's great for the students because it gets them right involved with teaching from the get-go.

We have quite a few unique individuals that come in to speak here at Tabor, a lot of them come from different cultures, different backgrounds. And so that really helps enrich the student experience here because you're hearing from people that are not only successful in their fields but also people that have lived real-life.

While I've been here at Tabor, um, the professors have been really welcoming. They've been really open. They just have been really eager to get to know us and eager to teach us well from what they've learned and from just their own experiences and it's been a really good experience at Tabor.
