As a student in the business department at Tabor, you're going to get pushed by all of our professors to do your best and to get outside of the box, and to develop critical thinking skills so that you can use them in the world regardless of what the job title is.
Our faculty at Tabor bring in real-world experience. We actually all currently do have one foot in the real world besides teaching, and that keeps us up to date on current business practices. And really, it lets us know what employers want from our students.
If you are interested in becoming a business student here. They're professors that work with local companies here, for example, I was part of DECA, so I got to work alongside Rhubarb Market, work with them to create an HR manual and then build their brand image, you know, right alongside them.
The business faculty at Tabor really like to connect our students with employers and the community, especially our alumni. We want to bring them together and let them hear it from professionals that are in the real world and that care about Tabor and have had that same shared experience that our students are currently in.
Tabor College and especially with the business program, have so many things you can get into. One of the things that I got into that I really loved was DECA. DECA is just an academic business program where it really prepares you for the future.
We are training you to go into any job and understanding how your role can be done better, more efficiently, and with an entrepreneurial mindset so that you can do the best job possible and you can stand out among your peers.
