So the history program at Tabor does a great job of blending with theology and our biblical and religious studies program. I think by design with how the courses are drafted and put together, but also in the fact that we're a Christian college and you look at things through that lens.
A large portion of our student body within the history department, are also education majors and teach at high schools. Beyond that, the history and political science program is going to develop critical thinkers. Many of our students go on to graduate school, whether that be within history or law programs.
The benefit of small class sizes at Tabor college is that you get to know your fellow students as well as the faculty. When I was at Tabor, I had great relationships with all of my professors and really use that to animate my learning.
When I came on my visit to Tabor, everyone that I met pretty much was a double major. And so that was really interesting to me because I hadn't thought about that as an option before. So I am a double major with history and communications.
At Tabor, from the very beginning, students are allowed and encouraged to go on trips overseas. We have both domestic trips and international trips. We go to Washington, DC, Europe, Israel, and Palestine, and various parts of Asia, both within the department and cross-disciplinary with other departments as well.
