We have several degree options anywhere from teaching slash coaching, that kind of ties into secondary ed. So someone can be a public school teacher and coach, or they could do sports management where they want to be an athletic director. We also have strength and conditioning. If someone wants to be a personal trainer or a strength and conditioning coach at a college we got several different options.
The health and human performance major -- all of our students are required to do some type of internships.
I 100% think people coming into Tabor should take part in the internships. It helped me a lot. I even did it in high school and then did it all throughout my college career.
We have a secondary major field called exercise science. And in the exercise science major, it's a little different in that it's it's more heavily geared towards your science curriculum because those students typically are headed for graduate school path.
So when you graduate from Tabor College, the most important thing is we've given you the content to be able to be successful on a test such as the Praxis which is what gives you your licensure to teach. We've had a 90% pass rate on the Praxis the first time and of those 90%, we've had 100% get teaching jobs within their first two years of application. And so it's proving to work.
